Sharing my story in case it helps someone. I work as a technical writer, documenting software products for companies in different countries. My work is completely location-independent, so once I realized that, staying in the same place year after year stopped making sense.

I chose Barcelona mostly for lifestyle reasons. I wanted a city where daily life feels good, not just productive. After renting for a while, I noticed that I was treating the move as temporary, which wasn’t really true anymore. That’s when I started looking into buying property.

I found https://barcelona.realestate/ while searching for local-focused platforms. It helped me understand which areas fit my needs: quiet enough for focused work, but still well connected. I eventually bought a modest apartment that works perfectly as a living space and home office.

The process took time, especially understanding local regulations and paperwork, but it felt like a logical step rather than a risky one. Now I feel more grounded, my work-life balance has improved, and Barcelona feels less like a destination and more like home.
