Notes on System Behavior and Data Handling in Exchange Services

I’ve been looking at how these exchange platforms describe their internal processes, but it’s still unclear to me how much of that is actually verifiable. Does anyone have a clearer idea of how order handling and data routing are structured behind the scenes, and whether these claims hold up in practice?

What stands out is how these services emphasize abstraction over transparency. The idea of handling many assets and routing requests quickly suggests some form of layered architecture, possibly with aggregation points rather than direct peer connections. That could be tied to simplified data lifecycle policies or even just limited logging practices. Still, it raises questions about traceability and how disputes would be handled if something goes wrong. For a general reference, I checked an anonymous crypto exchange to compare how these systems present themselves. But even there, most of the explanation is at a surface level, focused on user flow rather than backend mechanics.
