The intention of the USHBA through Region 9 efforts.
Our intention is to help California rebuild for resilience. This is no small feat and will require careful strategy and mindfulness in every step we take.
Step 1. Maintain Advocacy and Education efforts. Every community meeting, AIA event, and Green Building Council region meeting for community action in the rebuild efforts we will attend and make suggestions to help implement hemp building disaster mitigating qualities.
Step 2. Petition Emergency Code adoption ( Fed & State See Here).
Step 2.5. Meet with Government Officials, Building and Planning department Officials, EPA and FEMA reps, AIA Chapter heads in affected cities, to present evidence of superior building performance, discuss emergency code adoption and push green building initiative.(TBA)
Step 3. Press and Media conversations (TBA).
Step 3.5. Public Fire Demos (TBA)
Step 4. Industry rally for materials, builders to teach and build, supply chain support for rebuild efforts. (Check out our "List of Needs")
